• Determine processing parameters + equipment needed to achieve specified quality metrics

• Determine manufacturing options + develop launch plans

• Co-manufacturer scoping + management (from inception to launch and beyond)

• Function as link between internal operations and co-manufacturer to develop mutually beneficial relationships + production plans. Includes: MOQs, SKU rationalization, launch strategy, processing/production support, formula + process upgrades, quality management

• Packaging supplier scope & design development (substrates, artwork, rapid prototyping)

• Assist with creation of specs for ingredients, process settings, packaging components + final product

• Determine processing equipment required internally or at co-manufacturer + help to find the right partners

• Manage planning and implementation of pilot testing & line trials

• Act as liaison between Product Development + Manufacturing to ensure successful scale-up

• Provide guidance in creating final technical specifications with quality teams

• Complete final tech transfers to Operations team for continued successful production

• Provide ongoing assistance with quality issues or technical questions

• Assistance in refining product formulation, process feasibility and risks

• Optimize SKU offerings to reduce overall inventory needs and challenges

• Collaborate with R&D / Ops to define risks and mitigation plans for scale-up

• Packaging + labeling component scoping, costing, and finalization

• Develop run strategies to reduce waste and line-time costs + to optimize production for demand

• Collaborate with internal + external teams to maximize quality + flexibility + speed

• Analyze current process design + capacity needs to determine ideal scale + manufacturing strategies.

• Develop + refine supply chain management tactics to enhance inventory practices + logistics.

• Procurement management + cost optimization for raw materials + packaging components
